Tabitha Hinkle

Tabitha Hinkle

Office Manager

Tabitha joined Golden Heart Veterinary Services in 2021 as a relief tech before becoming our Office Manager. She has been working in the field of veterinary medicine for over 18 years and has helped in many of the clinics around Fairbanks, along with UAF. Her passion is in Emergency & Critical Care, but she greatly enjoys teaching and sharing the knowledge she has gained over the years with her peers.

When away from the clinic, Tabitha enjoys gardening, local breweries, kayaking, fishing, and seeing live music. She is mom to a 1-year-old Pekingese boy by the name of Twig, who has a lot of personality!

Francesca

Francesca Klinger, LVT

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Francesca originally came to Fairbanks due to the military, but once she left, she felt the urge to return to the land of the midnight sun. She has been in veterinary medicine since 2005 and joined Golden Heart Veterinary Services in 2016. She was drawn to our clinic because we are small, privately owned, have a great work culture, and Dr. May is a strong advocate for continued education.

According to French, the best part of veterinary medicine is seeing the relief in the pet and the owner when we fix their problem. In her spare time, Francesca likes to read, work on her car, and enjoy the outdoors. She is mom to 2 amazing teenagers, a 2-year-old black cat named Creature and a two ½-year-old black sled dog named Ninja.

Deirdre Hamsley

Deirdre Hamsley

Client Service Representative

Dee came to Fairbanks from Nenana with her husband for work. She spent much of her childhood mushing, pet sitting, and lending a hand on the farm, which interested her in pursuing veterinary medicine. Dee chose Golden Heart Veterinary Services as she had many friends with their pets and sled dogs seen by Dr. May. She loves feeling like she is making a difference, not just working another job and appreciates that every day she continues to learn. Dee hopes to own a farm since she loves many animals.

Dee likes to read, cook, knit, watch/listen to true crime, run, garden, and do all outdoor activities. She has a sweet baby boy named Finn, a Central Asian Shepherd named Darius, an antisocial Hedgehog named Hilda, and Minne, a sweet, loving Pitbull.

The universe brought Linda to Fairbanks many years ago for a family member’s continued education. She had worked many years at the University of Alaska – Fairbanks before joining the team here at GHVS. Linda has never worked in Veterinary Medicine but has always loved and been an advocate for animals. She enjoys interacting with our pet patients and their owners and loves working with the amazing Golden Heart team.

In her time, Linda likes to garden, complete puzzles, and read interior decorating magazines. She also has a personal interest in history & politics. Linda has the sweetest little Pomeranian by the name of Lucy, who is ten years old. She has had Lucy since she was three years old. Lucy has a unique ability to determine whether she will be going on errands with Linda based on what attire she is wearing.

Samantha Knutsen

Samantha was born and raised here in Fairbanks and had worked many other jobs prior to finding herself at GHVS. This is her first job in veterinary medicine but has loved animals all her life and even wanted to be a Vet when she was a child. In her free time, Samantha likes to hang out with family, cook, read, exercise, and finding time to pamper herself. While having her own human children, she also has a 2-year-old German Shepherd by the name of Brandy, who runs the house and forces everyone to love her.
